Our Promise To You

Foster care is the temporary placement of a child in a new home away from his or her family. Children are placed into foster care for a variety of reasons; abandonment, abuse or neglect, or the incarceration or hospitalization of a parent. Placement in a foster home protects the child while ongoing social workers provide the biological family with resources and skills to be safe and effective parents to have their child returned to their home.

CTSHealth recognizes the value of the role the licensed resource parent has in providing services to clients in our care and will:

  • Treat resource parents and their families with respect and fairness
  • Include resource parents as an integral part of the care and treatment team
  • Provide sufficient and pertinent information, support and supervision, guidance and training to the resource parent to empower their success in fostering clients placed in their home
  • Provide after hours on-call support for client crisis intervention and management
  • Provide access to the agency’s Resource Parent Director/liaison for coordination and participation in the Resource Parent Advisory Board council functions
  • Notify resource parents of agency policy and procedural changes.
